Ishihara Park Learning Garden

The Ishihara Park Learning Garden was opened in February of 2017 as the fourth Community Garden managed by the City of Santa Monica.  It is also the only one which operates as a Communal Garden, with no individual plots.  Volunteer Work Days, which are free to the public, take place every Monday and Wednesday, from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  We host gardening workshops throughout the year in collaboration with the UC Master Gardener Program, SMMUSD, Santa Monica Public Library and more.  

In addition, every Third Saturday, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, we host an open house with various activities and opportunities to explore the garden at your own speed.
