Introducing Big Blue Bus’s Adopt-A-Stop Volunteer Program!

Community members now have a unique opportunity to adopt Big Blue Bus (BBB) stops in Santa Monica, as part of their Adopt-A-Stop volunteer program. With around 930 bus stops in BBB’s service area, keeping
them maintained takes careful planning. That’s where their dedicated
Adopt-A-Stop volunteers come in!
As an Adopt-A-Stop volunteer, you provide an invaluable
service in ensuring the cleanliness and safe conditions of BBB’s bus stops.
Volunteers perform light cleaning, monitor the condition of their adopted
stops, and report any maintenance or safety issues directly to BBB. This
proactive approach allows for quicker responses to concerns, enhancing the
overall experience for everyone who relies on public transportation.
The Adopt-A-Stop program is a tangible, minimal-effort way
to give back to your community, with instant results and meaningful impact. Adopters
gain a sense of ownership and pride in caring for their favorite BBB stop,
making public transportation a more comfortable and attractive option for all
community members. Adopters also receive exciting incentives for volunteering including
free bus rides and exclusive merchandise to show off their BBB pride.
