EARTH DAY OF SERVICE & Seed Starting Demo
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” – Muhammad Ali
We are celebrating 30 Years of Sustainability in Santa Monica by hosting a Day of Service in honor of Earth Month at the Main Street Community Garden.
Spend a few minutes or a couple of hours with our California Climate Action Corps Fellows as we put in some sweat equity at our oldest Community Garden (soon to celebrate its 50th Anniversary). This unique habitat in the heart of Main Street is a great place to spend a morning. Studies show that serving others has a direct link to increasing one's happiness.
At 10:00 AM we will have a brief seed starting demonstration.
Join us to get your hands dirty, have a cup of coffee, develop some friendships and grab yourself some seasonal vegetable seeds to start your own crops.
