2024 Arts Month Reception

Join us for a reception to celebrate the launch of Arts, Creativity and Culture Month in Santa Monica. A statewide observance instituted in 2019 at the instigation of Senator Ben Allen's resolution SCR 33 and in partnership with Californians for the Arts, April's Arts Month provides an occasion to celebrate the impact of the arts in communities across the region and mobilize to advocate for support of the arts at all levels of government. 

Stop by and check out the “Our Pico” portrait exhibition in the Beach House gallery and meet photographer Sam Comen - this Pico Neighborhood worker portrait exhibit has recently been acquired for the city’s Art Bank collection. Mingle with local artists and enjoy light noshes while showing your support for arts advocacy, culture and creativity! 

Sam Comen's "Our Pico" portraits were created in collaboration with the Pico Improvement Organization and made possible with the support of Art of Recovery, an initiative of the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs.

Please note that the Beach House pool is closed for the season and the Guest House is closed temporarily; Back on the Beach Cafe will be open; bike racks available, bring your own lock; pay parking is first come first served.
