Santa Monica is closely monitoring the “No Kings” protest scheduled for June 14 in Palisades Park. The city respects everyone’s First Amendment right to peaceful protest and wants to ensure our community can do so in a safe manner. However, criminal behavior will not be tolerated. Individuals taking advantage of the situation with criminal acts will be subject to arrest and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

For protest participants:
We are committed to upholding everyone’s right to peacefully demonstrate. Follow event rules and guidelines provided by organizers. Keep it peaceful. Do not bring prohibited items such as:
- Frozen water bottles
- Glass or metal bottles
- Weapons of any kind
- Buckets
- Leaf Blowers
- Traffic Cones
- Umbrellas
Familiarize yourself with prohibited items from event organizers and those outlined in Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 04.08.780 community events and public assemblies.
The city encourages everyone in Santa Monica to sign up for emergency alerts by texting SMVISIT to 888-777 or registering at santamonica.gov/alerts.
Traffic updates:
Traffic delays may occur on Ocean Avenue on June 14.
All road closures to support public safety efforts have been lifted.
