Park and Facilities Tax (Unit Dwelling Tax)
The Park and Recreation Facilities Tax (Municipal Code 6.80 Unit Dwelling Tax) is assessed on all new development of single family units (dwelling units) within the City of Santa Monica. All related revenue is deposited in the Park and Recreation Facilities Fund and is used solely for the acquisition, improvement and expansion of public park, playground and/or recreation facilities.
