How to Register for CREST Enrichment and CREST Camps

ENRICHMENT

CREST Enrichment classes are an easy way for parents to add exciting learning adventures to their child's day. Popular classes include ceramics, musical theater, and karate. Classes are led by hand-picked, professional instructors for students in grades TK-5 enrolled in an SMMUSD elementary school in Santa Monica.

Fall 2024

CAMP

CREST Camp is an enriching day camp held for youth ages 8-14. Join us for a season of fun, learning, and adventure at our annual Seasonal Camps! This year promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with exciting activities and new options coming to life! One camp with two options to choose from!

SPORTS EXPERIENCE

Get ready for fun-filled weeks of sports and adventures! Young athletes of all levels will enjoy basketball, soccer, popular P.E. games, and more, while building teamwork and leadership skills. Led by awesome coaches, this camp is perfect for kids who love staying active and making new friends.

CREATIVE EXPLORERS

Launch into an exciting journey in hands-on adventures! Ignite your curiosity as we mix Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics with camp favorites. With plenty of teamwork and creativity, campers will develop skills while having a blast bringing their ideas to life!

Summer 2025

All credit card transactions will incur a convenience fee by the processor of 2.95% of the class fee. The convenience fee is non-refundable. E-checks are a no-fee alternative.
If space is unavailable when you register, add your child to the waitlist (not wish list) and you will be contacted by CREST staff as soon as a spot becomes available.
Once registered, a confirmation receipt will be emailed. For camps especially, please ensure you receive a confirmation receipt once you’ve completed the registration process online. Call the CREST office if you don’t receive a confirmation email.

FAQ

How do I request a refund for Enrichment and Camps?

Requests for a refund must be made in-writing via email at crest@santamonica.gov or in-person at the CREST Youth Office at Virginia Avenue Park. To complete the refund process, download and fill out the Refund/Transfer Request Form and submit via email at crest@santamonica.gov or in-person at the CREST Youth Office at Virginia Avenue Park. A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded.

Deadline for Enrichment Requests: The last day to request a refund is within 24 hours after the first class meeting.

Deadline for Camp Requests: The last day to request a refund is 5 calendar days prior to the first camp meeting. Medical documentation will be required if the refund request is submitted within the 5 calendar days prior to the first camp meeting or anytime during the camp session.

What happens if my Enrichment class is canceled?

A full refund will be granted if the activity is canceled. All dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to combine classes as needed or cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment. We are not able to offer makeups for days missed by the student.

What health and safety precautions are taken for CREST Camps?

CREST Camp is taking guidance from the CDC and LA County Public Health Guidelines for Day Camps. Additional mandatory Safety Protocols and Procedures are being implemented. CREST and the City of Santa Monica continue to place the highest value on the health and safety of our community. All staff and participants will be pre-screened with a visual wellness check for COVID-19 symptoms and for temperature using infrared no-touch thermometers as soon as they arrive for the day.

Is there Financial Assistance?

The City of Santa Monica offers Financial Assistance to qualifying families with moderate to low income, whose students attend a Santa Monica based Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District School and participate in CREST after-school programs during the school year. What documents do I need to provide for Financial Assistance?

Identity Verification: A copy of a government identification card for all the adults in the household (with a current address)

Income Verification: A copy of the most recent year's submitted income taxes

Address Verification: (select one) A utility bill (gas or electric) that shows service address or a rental lease or Section 8 verification, or a copy of SMMUSD student permit (if you are not a Santa Monica resident).
