Jenny Rogers
Director of Recreation and Arts
Jenny Rogers is responsible for development and oversight over the City's new Recreation & Arts Department including its Administration, Community Recreation & Cultural Affairs Divisions. For Jenny, public service is a calling, and she believes that the work we do creates community. She has extensive leadership experience in the fields of Arts, Recreation & Community Services with over 28 years as a director, arts administrator, recreation and cultural arts manager and artist.
Her previous professional appointments have included Director of Community Services for the City of Beverly Hills, Director of Arts & Recreation for the City of Mill Valley, Director of the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts and Cultural Arts Supervisor for the City & County of San Francisco's Cultural Arts Division (SFRPD).
Ms. Rogers graduated from Brown University Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Art & Semiotics and holds an MFA in Fine Art specializing in Digital & New Media from Pennsylvania State University where she was the first University Fellow for the School of Visual Arts. Jenny is also an accomplished visual artist, director and designer in the theater and has received, and been nominated for, numerous grants and awards.
