Santa Monica's Guide to Community Recreation Classes and Camps

Indoor and outdoor recreation classes for all ages are provided at City parks, the Santa Monica Swim Center and the Annenberg Community Beach House seasonally throughout the year. Youth camps are provided during school breaks and holidays. Most classes and camps require an account via ActiveNet, the City's online registration system.

Spring and Summer Registration Dates: Information is subject to change.

Spring 2025 registration will open Wednesday, January 22 at 6:00 a.m. for Santa Monica residents, and Wednesday, January 29 for non-residents.
Summer 2025 registration will open Wednesday, April 23 at 6:00 a.m. for Santa Monica residents, and Wednesday, April 30 for non-residents.

FAQ

Can I cancel a class or camp registration and receive a refund?

Class refunds and transfers will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Camp refunds will be issued only with medical documentation or if requested within five calendar days prior to the first meeting. Refunds will be prorated. A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Material fees are not discountable or refundable. Refund and transfer requests must be made in writing to the respective program office:

Can I apply for financial assistance for recreation programs?

The City of Santa Monica provides financial assistance for its after school programs and youth recreation classes and camps. A completed application is required prior to registration. Not all applicants may qualify.
