Have you ever visited a city’s website and had trouble finding the information you need or found that you need to go down to city hall to submit a simple form? The City of Santa Monica wants to serve the public better! In fact, we’re looking for a full service digital firm to implement a new digital experience, including the development and design of the City’s new website. Do you know a great firm who could do the job? Please let them know we're looking for proposals by October 2.
The City envisions a digital experience where residents, employees, businesses and visitors could interact with the City in a completely digital way. Our intention is to implement an improved customer experience, and ultimately better serving Santa Monica residents, businesses, employees, and visitors. We imagine a website that is user-centric, mobile first and modern in design, extremely easy to use for end-users and staff alike, and able to evolve over time. The effort will unify, integrate, and streamline information and provide new ways for the public to engage with and receive services from the City. The digital processes will include simple and efficient ways to complete City business, and build from a digital strategy completed in April 2017.
The City invites all full service digital partner(s) with vast experience in designing information-heavy websites on behalf of complex, service-oriented organizations to submit a proposal by:
- Downloading the Website Design and Development v2 RFP and Addendum.
- NOTE: Internet Explore is recommended to view supporting resources. Yes, we know that's a user experience problem.
- Submit your proposal by October 2 at 5:30pm to communications@smgov.net.
We're excited to find a great digital partner. Please help us spread the word.
