CREST summer programming is now in full swing, but in a blink of an eye, it will be time to get kids ready for another school year. As you think about packing away the water shoes in exchange for sneakers and preparing backpacks with school supplies, remember, registration for after-school programs is just around the corner. A range of options for children in Elementary and Middle School are available through the City of Santa Monica’s CREST Youth Program.
Have to Work Late?
CREST Club provides 4th and 5th graders with homework assistance, enriching activities, organized games, from school dismissal to 6pm. Participants also partake in special events and field trips. We are currently accepting applications. CREST Club is $300/month. For more information, please visit smgov.net/crest or email crest.mailbox@smgov.net.
Need Homework Assistance?
Homework Club is an after-school program that gives students academic support, in a structured environment, in order to work on homework. Homework Club has a one-time, annual fee of $550 due at the beginning of service. Homework Club runs from September 3- June 4, 2020. Registration is limited and begins on August 1 at 6:00 am online or in person at the Reed Park Youth Office, located at 1133 7th Street, Santa Monica at 8:30 am.
Playdate at School?
Playground Access is for students in grades 1-5 who can engage in supervised, unstructured play in designated areas of the playground, after-school, with basic game equipment available for check out. Registration begins August 1 online and in person at the Reed Park Youth Office. There is no fee to participate.
Spark a New Interest!
Enrichment is our school-based enrichment classes and are an easy way for parents to add exciting learning adventures to their child's day. Professional instructors lead all classes for youth in grades TK-5. Fees vary and are due at the time of registration. Some classes have additional material fees due on the first class meeting. Registration for fall 2019 Enrichment Classes begins August 28 at 6:00 am online.
Encourage Team Spirit!
Our Youth Sports Program is a non-competitive recreation program where everyone participates regardless of ability. The focus is on giving young athletes the opportunity to compete and learn about the skills and rules of each sport. Sports are offered for three seasons during the school year for students in grades TK-8. The cost is $130 for clubs and $135 for leagues with games on Saturdays. Fall Registration opens on Wednesday, August 28 at 6:00 am online.
