Take a Spin Through Santa Monica’s Favorite Bike Month Moments

In May, the community celebrated National Bike Month—which included Bike to Work Week, Bike to Work Day, Bike to School Day, Bike It! Walk It! Week, along with other bike rides and pop up events around Santa Monica.  

Check out these fun photos from Santa Monica’s Bike Month Team, who worked collaboratively across departments and with community partners Santa Monica Spoke, Downtown Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Bike Center to make bike month activities fun, educational and creative, while staying true to Santa Monica’s message of mobility. 

Rain or shine, students from across the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District participated in Bike It! Walk It Week!

Santa Monica employees celebrated Bike to Work Day with Santa Monica bicyclists on May 17 at City Hall.

Our community partners at Downtown Santa Monica hosted a bike pit-stop on Broadway on Bike to Work Day.

Approximately 40 community members came out for the Bike Ride with the City Manager on May 18 to explore 19 new miles of green bike lanes in Santa Monica.
