Santa Monica Public Library presents Charlotte Rae: The Facts of My Life

Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to welcome legendary television and stage star Charlotte Rae in a discussion of her new autobiography on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Generations of fans have grown up watching beloved actress Charlotte Rae on their televisions and movie screens. From Car 54, Where Are You? to Sesame Street, and on to her best-known role as Mrs. Garrett on Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life, Charlotte has made her fans laugh and smile. But her life wasn’t always accompanied by a laugh-track. Join us as Charlotte discusses her new autobiography, The Facts of My Life, with her co-author Larry Strauss, as well as special guests. A book sale and signing follows.
This program is ticketed. Free tickets will be released one hour prior to the program in the lobby outside the Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium. One ticket only per guest, and guests must be present to receive a ticket. No reservations available. Seating is first come, first served.
This program free and open to all ages. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
