January 28, 2016 11:33 AM
Santa Monica, California – Wizards and muggles of all stripes are invited to Santa Monica Public Library to celebrate Harry Potter Book Night: A Night of Spells on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Multipurpose Room, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
It has been almost nine years since J.K. Rowling wrapped up the epic tale of young wizard Harry Potter and his Hogwarts pals, but his story of good vs. evil still captivates readers worldwide. In 2014, Rowling’s British publisher initiated Harry Potter Book Night, a night for Potter fans to gather together and celebrate their magical hero, and this year Santa Monica Public Library is joining in on the fun. In this family-friendly event, participants will be sorted into houses, play games for points with the winning house taking home a fun prize, making crafts and tasty treats, and lots of other fun surprises.
This program free and open to all ages. Seating is first come, first served. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
