How-To Festival 2016- What do you want to learn today?

Santa Monica, California – Back by popular demand! Santa Monica Public Library presents its second How-To Festival on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library and then four Saturdays in July from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the branches: July 9 at Ocean Park, July 16 at Fairview, July 23 at Montana Avenue, and July 30 at Pico.
This year’s How-To Festival’s forty interactive workshops span five Saturdays during which you will be able to learn many skills, including How to do Chinese Qigong, How to Write a Song in 90 Seconds, How to Sow Seeds and Garden Organically, and How to Buy a Car. A few of our partners include the Automobile Club of Southern California, the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market, the American Red Cross, and the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special accommodations, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 7, R7, 8, and R10. The Santa Monica branch libraries are served by Big Blue Bus lines 1 and 8 for the Ocean Park Branch; lines 8, Crosstown 41, and Sunset 44 for the Fairview Branch; the 3M and Crosstown 41 for the Montana Avenue Branch; and line 7 for the Pico Branch. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at all library locations.
