Love Wins with Supreme Court Marriage Equality Plaintiffs Jim Obergefell, Paul Katami & Jeff Zarrillo

Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library and the ONE Gay and Lesbian Archives Foundation are honored to present an evening with Supreme Court marriage equality case plaintiffs Jim Obergefell, Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
In celebration of his new book, Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality, civil rights pioneer Jim Obergefell joins Los Angeles-based Prop 8 plaintiffs Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo for a discussion of their cases, their lives and the unexpected paths that brought them to the national stage. David Cruz, star of Bravo TV’s Millionaire Matchmaker and founder of Finding Cupid, provides a welcome and introduces the program, and Wilson Cruz, award-winning actor (My So-Called Life) and human rights activist, moderates the discussion. A book sale and signing follows.
This program free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible.
