A History of the 1950s and 60s Through the Lens of Popular Song with Marc Black at Santa Monica Public Library

Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library presents an afternoon with singer-guitarist Marc Black on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Relive this colorful time in history with this very special performance by eclectic folk-rocker Marc Black. Live music and a discussion of the 1950s and 60s illustrate how the popular songs of the day reveal what America was going through. Marc has performed and recorded with Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, Rick Danko, and Pete Seeger, and was recently named Folk Artist of the Year by ABC Radio.
This program is free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible.
