Santa Monica Public Library Presents Soundwaves: Vicki Ray
Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library is proud to present pianist Vicki Ray on Wednesday November 16 at 7:30PM in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium at 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
She will perform a set of short contemporary and modern solo pieces, including John Cage's "The Perilous Night," Chinary Ung's "Seven Mirrors," Joseph Pereira's "Five Baroque Settings from the Norton Simon," and selections from György Kurtag's "Játékok."
Vicki Ray is a CalArts faculty member, and has appeared with the LA Philharmonic, Xtet, and the California EAR Unit, as well as on the Green Umbrella, Jacaranda, and Piano Spheres series.
