An Afternoon with Tippi Hedren
at Santa Monica Public Library
Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to welcome Hollywood legend Tippi Hedren for a discussion of her new autobiography Tippi on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
In her absorbing and surprising memoir, classic Hollywood star Tippi Hedren —famed for her breakout roles in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds and Marnie — tells her story. She shares never-before-revealed experiences on the set of some of the biggest cult films of all time, stories about her famous daughter Melanie Griffith and granddaughter Dakota Johnson, and discusses her lifelong mission as an animal rights activist. In this appearance at the Santa Monica Public Library, she provides a few highlights from the book and shares many photos and stories from her entertainment career. A book sale and signing follows the program.
This program is free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 7, R7, R10 and 18. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
