Santa Monica Public Library Presents Dueling Pianos: The American Masters

Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library presents Dueling Pianos: The American Masters on Saturday, February 4, at 2:00 pm in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. 

Popular music and dance styles find their way into a set of American music for two pianos. Pianists Karen Spurney and Valerie Stern present an educational and entertaining medley of folk, ballet, ragtime and foot-stomping hoe-down music with visuals, reflecting the deep and rich history of American popular music. This all-ages concert includes works by Aaron Copland and George Gershwin. 

This program is free and open to all ages.  Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 7, R7, R10 and 18. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
