UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology presents Nanotechnology & You at Santa Monica Public Library

Santa Monica, California – The University of California’s Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology presents Nanotechnology & You on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Santa Monica Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. 

Get ready for National Nanotechnology Day (October 9) with an interactive, family-friendly demonstration of the concepts of nanotechnology -- which is science, engineering and technology conducted at the nanoscale. A panel discussion with researchers from the UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (UC CEIN) follows. UC CEIN brings together researchers of many disciplines from across the nation and around the world to ensure the responsible use and safe implementation of nanotechnology in the environment through a multi-disciplinary approach to research, education and outreach.

This program is free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is directly served by Big Blue Bus lines 1, R10 and 18. The Expo Line and other bus routes stop nearby. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
