Learn the basics of website development through free hands-on workshops in January at the Santa Monica Public Library. The Website Building Workshop Series takes place on Tuesdays at 6:00pm in the Computer Training Room of the Main Library, at 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
The series consists of four two-hour sessions:
JAN 2: BASIC HTML: Create a basic website structure using HTML5.
JAN 9: MORE HTML: Continue to work with HTML and expand your development toolkit.
JAN 16: BASIC CSS: Learn how to use CSS to customize the look and feel of websites.
JAN 23: HTML + CSS: Create a simple website using HTML and CSS.
Experience with HTML and CSS is beneficial to anyone interested in creating a custom website or deepening their understanding of computer coding. No prior coding experience needed, as these courses are designed for beginners. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions as the workshops build on one another.
These programs are all free and open to the public. Space is limited and on a first arrival basis. For more information about this and other Library programs, visit www.smpl.org.
