Assault with a Deadly Weapon - Filing Update

Santa Monica, CA – On November 6, 2019 at approximately 7pm, Offices were in the area of 700 block of Santa Monica when they observed a male bleeding profusely from his arm. Officers on scene provided emergency medical aid in order to prevent significant blood loss. The male subject had a laceration to his neck and a significant laceration to his brachial artery. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition. On November 7th, the suspect was identified and arrested.
On November 12th, the LAX District Attorney filed one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Great Bodily Injury and one count of Resisting Arrest against Jalen Markeith Perrot (04-02-1992).
