Hispanic Heritage Month: A Family Program with Author Naibe Reynoso

Santa Monica Public Library is proud to celebrate Hispanic American Heritage Month with a virtual program for elementary school age students and their families, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. The program features author and founder of Con Todo Press, Naibe Reynoso, as she reads her children’s book Be Bold! Be Brave! ¡Sé Audaz, Sé Valiente!: 11 Latinas who made U.S. History / 11 Latinas que hicieron historia en Estados Unidos. A question and answer session will follow the reading. Naibe Reynoso’s book is written in both English and Spanish, and features the stories, in rhyme, of 11 Latinas, including actress Rita Moreno, Olympic Gold Medalist Lisa Fernandez, astronaut Ellen Ochoa, and first female U.S. Surgeon General Antonia Novello, among others. Beautifully illustrated by Jone Leal, the book is published by Con Todo Press, founded by Ms. Reynoso. After reading her book, Ms. Reynoso will answer questions from attendees.
