Santa Monica Adjusts Service Hours as Nation Celebrates Inauguration Day, Wednesday, January 20

On Wednesday, January 20, the City of Santa Monica will adjust service hours as the nation celebrates Inauguration Day. Service changes include:
- The Santa Monica Pier will be closed.
- The Downtown Farmers Market hours will be adjusted to 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Santa Monica Public Library curbside service will be suspended for the day at all locations. Digital services are available at smpl.org. For general and reference questions contact staff via phone at (310) 458-8600 or reference@smpl.org from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Planning Commission will air live on YouTube and not City TV, Channel 16. The meeting will be broadcast on CityTV Channel 16 the following day, Thursday, January 21.
Any other changes or adjustments to City service hours will be shared directly with community members who use those services.
Interim Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks shared a video with the community about the Santa Monica Police Department’s precautionary preparations and increased staffing for the Inauguration period, which is now underway.
