As part of “Read Across America,” an initiative on reading that focuses on creating a world of diverse readers and motivating children to read, the Santa Monica Public Library presents Storypalooza on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with these special programs:
- “The Buster Balloon Show!”

Join Buster Balloon for comedy, magic, balloons, and fun as he shares some of his favorite children’s books. Register in advance on Zoom. - Take & Make Dr. Seuss Surprise Craft

Each year, National Read Across America Day, inaugurated by the National Education Association, is celebrated on March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The Santa Monica Public Library presents our event supporting early literacy on the first Saturday of March. This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica.
Storypalooza is free and you do not need a Santa Monica Public Library card to participate in the programs.
