Celebrate Cesar Chavez's Legacy

As part of Cesar Chavez Celebration, the City of Santa Monica will issue a proclamation to honor Cesar Chavez’s legacy. Cesar Chavez’s grandson, Andres Chavez, will receive the proclamation on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 during the City Council Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
On March 26, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. celebrate with the Santa Monica Public Library by joining the virtual program presented by Virginia Avenue Park’s Familias Latinas Unidas parent group. The program will feature special presentations by past and present leaders in the farm worker movement including a guest speaker from the Cesar Chavez Foundation and a present day farm worker. The event will be presented in Spanish with English interpretation available.
