Adult Literacy Tutoring

The Library's adult literacy tutoring program helps adults learn to read and write or improve their reading and writing skills. Adults in the program achieve personal goals such as reading a book for the first time, getting a job, sharing a book with a child, reading a medicine label, volunteering in the community, and voting.

Volunteer literacy tutors work one-on-one with adult learners in a library setting. Tutors meet with learners once or twice per week, for one to two hours, to work on learning goals.
