Big Blue Bus celebrates Transit Equity Day and honors Rosa Park’s Birthday by offering FREE RIDES on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.  

Rosa Parks was a trailblazer for freedom, equality, and access for all, playing a crucial role in dismantling segregation in public transportation. Her legacy of advocating for justice and inclusivity continues to inspire our work today. 

The City of Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus is committed to providing an equitable, affordable, and safe transportation network that connects people with opportunity, improves lives, and protects the environment. Join us in celebrating Transit Equity Day and activist Rosa Parks! 

Ways to Celebrate Transit Equity Day:

  • Use Public Transit – leave your car at home and experience the benefits of public transportation. Download Transit on your Apple or Android smartphone to plan your trip or visit Bigbluebus.com. 
  • Adopt-A-Stop - get involved in your community by volunteering to adopt a local bus stop. As an adopter, you’ll support Big Blue Bus and transit riders by providing an extra set of eyes at stops to ensure their cleanliness and safety. Click here to learn more.
