BBB is Free For Students During Bike It, Walk It, Bus It Week May 5-9

Santa Monica students can ride Big Blue Bus for free during Bike It! Walk It! Bus It! week, held May 5-9! This initiative encourages K-12 students and their families to choose eco-friendly transportation options, such as biking, walking, or using public transit. Here's how you can participate: 

  1. GoPass TAP Card: Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) students can ride free on Metro, Big Blue Bus, and other participating transit agencies in LA County all school year with a GoPass TAP Card. This includes Bike It! Walk It! Bus It! week! 
  2. Valid School ID: Students can also ride for free during this week by showing a valid school ID to the Big Blue Bus operator. If you don’t have a school ID, you can use a current report card, class schedule, or an official letter from your school verifying enrollment.
