Spring is almost here, and that means Santa Monica Aquatics programs will soon ramp up at the Swim Center, Annenberg Community Beach House and SaMoHi pool.

Lifeguard and swim instructor opportunities available – join the Santa Monica Aquatics team!

Are you passionate about water safety, fitness and community connection? Then Santa Monica Aquatics wants you! We’re excited to announce opportunities for motivated individuals to become lifeguards and swim instructors. We’re certified – are you? Sign up for American Red Cross Training opportunities.

Ready to take your skills to the next level and make a real impact in your community? Santa Monica Aquatics offers American Red Cross training courses that combine online learning with hands-on instruction, giving you the tools to excel. Don’t miss out on these incredible opportunities to get certified, grow your skills, and become part of our vibrant aquatics community!

Classes offered are:

Lifeguard Training Class for participants age 15+ who want to become American Red Cross Certified Lifeguards.
Water Safety Instructor Certification for participants age 16+ who want to become Certified Water Safety Instructors.

Play, swim laps or sign up for a fun and vigorous fitness class!

The Santa Monica Swim Center and SaMoHi pool are open and ready for you with a combination of open swim, fitness classes and registration-required lap swim. Find hours and more information here.

Swim classes will soon kick off for those who were lucky enough to snag a spot, and we can’t wait to welcome all our new swimmers, young and seasoned alike!

The Annenberg Community Beach House pool opens for the season Memorial Day weekend, so mark your calendars!

And of course, many of our beloved Santa Monica Aquatics events will return for another year, from family days and teen nights at the Swim Center to the Cardboard Yacht Regatta and sunset swims at the Beach House this summer, so stay tuned.

The Swim Center will also offer short water safety trainings that are open to the public, including how to properly fit a Life Jacket (you may be doing it wrong!), so keep an eye on the city’s events calendar and the Aquatics page for more info to come.
