Metro to Close Two Expo Line Stations for Upgrades Beginning June 22

Do you take the Expo from Santa Monica to Downtown Los Angeles or commute to work in Santa Monica? Changes to Expo service begin on Saturday, June 22, make sure to plan ahead!
As part of the New Blue Line Improvements Project, Metro is upgrading the Blue and Expo Lines.
- The Blue Line is out of service between the 7th St/Metro Center and Compton Station through late September 2019.
- Two Expo Line Stations will be out of service between LATTC/Ortho Institute Station and 7th St/Metro Center starting June 22 through late August 2019. Los Angeles-bound Expo Line trains will end at LATTC/Ortho Institute Station where bus shuttles will be available for customers to continue their trip to 7th St/Metro Center and Pico Stations.
Metro and Big Blue Bus (BBB) are providing bus shuttles to replace rail service. For more information on the bus shuttle services and locations, please see below:

BBB Express Shuttle Service:
BBB will operate an express shuttle with direct service between 7th St./Metro Center and LATTC/Ortho Institute Expo Stations, beginning Monday, June 24 through Friday, August 23.
Shuttles will run every 15 minutes on weekdays only, from 5 a.m. - 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
To 7th St./Metro Center Station:
Buses will depart from the LATTC/Ortho Institute station on westbound 23rd St. and Flower St. (before the intersection), and travel west on 23rd St., turn right on Figueroa St., and passengers may disembark on northbound Figueroa St. at 7th St. (before the intersection). |

To LATTC/Ortho Station:
Buses will depart from southbound Hope St. and 7th St. (before the intersection) and travel south on Hope St., turn left on 9th St., right on Grand Ave., right on 23rd St., and end service on westbound 23rd St. and Flower St. |
