Candidate Statement in English
In 2020 I ran for Santa Monica City Council because Santa Monica City Hall had mismanaged our City resulting in the erosion of public safety, hurting local businesses, homeowners and renters alike! Since then I have worked to fix those problems by:
- Hiring more police officers
- Contracting private security for the 3rd Street Promenade
- Strengthening services to transition mentally ill/unhoused individuals off our streets
As a native Santa Monican who has committed his life to public service I resolve to restore the public trust in our government. I have a MPA degree and served 18 years on the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education.
A father of two children, I have a personal commitment to advancing public safety and the well-being of ALL Santa Monican's. I am FOUNDER of a youth center and I work daily to expand affordable housing, educational and economic opportunity for the residents of our City.
I am a PROVEN LEADER who will:
- ENFORCE OUR LAWS and strengthen public safety
- Protect renters, support policies that keep rents affordable
- Support policies that advance environmental, economic & social justice
