Enhance Mobility

The City houses numerous data points that aid the public in making wholistic mobility decisions. An example of such a service is the real-time General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS), located at http://gtfs.bigbluebus.com/. This enables App developers (e.g. Transit, Moovit, NextBus, Google Maps) to utilize the City’s real-time transit data. Additionally, mobility-related datasets include real-time and historical parking counts for City-owned parking lots.

This metric provides the total number of views received for the following datasets on the Santa Monica's open data portal:

• Parking Lot Counts
• Streets with Preferential Parking
• EV Charging Stations

This metric demonstrates interest in static mobility-related datasets. The City has long considered mobility a key data point. Measuring usage will inform the City whether it should or should not invest further in publishing mobility-related open datasets.
