Free Comic Book Day

Santa Monica Public Library teams up with the Santa Monica Comics Company (formerly of Hi De Ho Comics) to offer comic book giveaways, super activities, prizes, and a mini creator con! 

Main Library 

• 11 a.m. – noon: Create Your Own Comic workshop in the Café Space 
• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Comic book giveaways in Lobby (while supplies last) 
• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Meet comic book creators at our Con in the Courtyard! 
• 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Comics crafts in the Café Space 

Montana Branch & Pico Branch 

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Comic book giveaways and scavenger hunt

Fairview Branch & Ocean Park Branch

• Free comic books available while supplies last beginning May 6 at the Fairview Branch and May 7 at the Ocean Park Branch. Self-service approval required for entry.
