Farmers Market Rules
Santa Monica Farmers Markets are Certified Farmers Markets
established under California law to provide direct marketing of agricultural
products from California Producers to local consumers. Direct marketing benefits the agricultural
community and the consumer by providing a method for growers to sell quality produce at reasonable
prices.
The Santa Monica City Council has adopted the Santa Monica
Farmers Market Rules, Regulations and Policy Guide for the operation of the
Santa Monica Farmers Markets. All participating Producers and market
participants are required to abide by this Guide, along with applicable
local, county, state and federal laws and regulations.
