- May 5, 2020: In the Santa Monica: A Plan for Our Future - City Restructuring and Associated Modifications to the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Budget Resulting from Economic Impacts of COVID-19 Pandemic the City Council approved changed the funding source from (01) General Fund to the (14) TORCA Fund . - April 9, 2019: City Council authorized issue of an RFP for the development of affordable housing on the City-owned land; City of Santa Monica Staff Report.
- February 2019: The Housing Commission recommended that the Council authorize issuance of an RFP for affordable housing at the PS3 site, and the Council did so in April 2019 by a 7-0 vote (staff report here).
- May 24, 2016: City Council authorized development of a detailed structural engineering assessment involving testing and analysis at Parking Structures 1 and 3; City of Santa Monica Staff Report
- January 2016: City Council authorized staff to enter exclusive negotiations with AMC, but the ENA expired in November 2012, and AMC informed staff that it would not seek an extension, and the Arclight was ultimately added at SM Place.
- November 13, 2007: City Council authorized staff to request proposals to redevelop the site of PS3 for subterranean parking, retail, and cinema.
