Native Plant Landscaping

Bill Neill from the California Native Plant Society presents a talk on native plant landscaping, as well as fire restoration efforts, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

CA Climate Action Corps Fellows serving with the Santa Monica Community Garden Program offer garden information and seed giveaways in honor of Earth Month. 

While we often hear how these plants help conserve water, their importance to the biodiversity and support of our local pollinators, birds and other wildlife is easily overlooked.

You will hear about selecting plants, planting techniques and timing, good sources for material as well as ways your local municipality may help cover some of the costs.  

A few select Native Plants will be raffled off at the end.
