June 17, 2019 3:07 PM

Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to announce its partnership with LA Law Library, the second largest public law library in the United States. LA Law Library will present free “Office Hours” programs at Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., from 1:30 to 5:00 pm on the second Friday of each month.

An LA Law Library legal research specialist will assist patrons, including legal professionals, in locating legal resources to begin their research, refer them to relevant LA Law Library programs and services, and help them navigate the free legal websites available at the partnership, including full-text of Nolo do-it-yourself law books.

The librarian also will teach monthly QuickLook classes, a shortened version of many of the most popular legal education classes taught at LA Law Library Main Branch in downtown Los Angeles. For more information on LA Law Library classes, visit http://www.lalawlibrary.org/classes.

The LA Law Librarian does not provide legal advice. LA Law Library provides legal resources and assistance with legal research as an educational service. For legal advice, you should consult an attorney. This program is free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first-arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For disability-related accommodations, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to the event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, R10 and 18.
