How Employees Can Obtain Downtown Monthly Structure Parking

If you work in Downtown Santa Monica,  the City of Santa Monica  offers monthly parking in structures 2, 4 thru 9, and the Library.  For a map showing the locations of the structures currently available, click here.

You must work in the area bounded by California Avenue, Lincoln Boulevard, Pico Boulevard, and Ocean Avenue, including the east/west sides of Lincoln and the north/south sides of California and Pico Blvd.  Permits are not guaranteed and are issued based on availability.

Below are instructions on how to apply and pay for a monthly parking permit.

  1. Gather Your Documents

    You will need to provide the following documents:

    - valid government-issued ID (driver's license/ID, passport, etc.)

    - proof of employment (paycheck stub, business card, letter on company letterhead signed by employer)

  2. Approval

    Once you are approved, you will be emailed the monthly guidelines and contract.  Monthly parking must be paid online through the portal. We accept all major credit cards or ACH.  If you prefer to pay by check, you would need to mail your check to our Lockbox which can take up to ten days.  There is a non-refundable $10 administrative fee for all new keycards.  Should you lose or damage your keycard, there is a $10 administrative fee to replace. 

    Please note, we require 30 days notice for cancellations.  Monthly permits are not pro-rated.

  3. Location and Hours of Operation

    We are located at the GoSaMo Center, entrance on the street level of Parking Structure 5. When you enter, pull a ticket for Downtown Monthly Parking Permit.

    Our hours of operation are: Mondays thru Thursdays  8:30 to 11:30am  and 1:00 to 3:00 pm.   We offer 90 minutes free parking in the structure.
