How to Register for CREST Club

CREST Club is an out-of-school time program that provides 4th & 5th graders with a variety of activities, including onsite supervision, homework assistance, local excursions, enrichment activities, and outdoor fun. Our highly trained and caring staff work in small groups at one of the designated program sites.

2026-2027 School Year

CREST Club Locations: Edison, Franklin, Grant, McKinley, Roosevelt, SMASH and Will Rogers
Priority Registration for Continuing Students: Application Collection begins April 23rd, 2026. May submit in-person to on-site CREST Program Coordinator
Registration for New Families: Application Collection begins May 1st, 2026. May submit by email, Virginia Avenue Park, or submit to CREST Program Coordinator
We will begin accepting applications to reserve a spot; however, payments will not be processed until August.
Session Date(s): During school year

CREST Club enrollment is in person or via email. CREST Club Enrollment Packet can be emailed to crest@santamonica.gov. Applications are also accepted at Virginia Avenue Park office, located at 2200 Virginia Avenue in Santa Monica. Registration is first-come first-serve. Space is limited. CREST Club Enrollment Packet

How can I request a refund?

Withdrawal of a child from the CREST Club Program requires that the Site Coordinator be notified in writing at least one month prior to the withdrawal. Fees are not prorated. If you wish to return, you will be charged the $50.00 registration fee.

Is there Financial Assistance?

The City of Santa Monica offers Financial Assistance to qualifying families with moderate to low income, whose students attend a Santa Monica based Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District School and participate in CREST after-school programs during the school year. What documents do I need to provide for Financial Assistance?

If you are interested in applying for Financial Assistance , you application requires the following: Copy of Government Identification Card: For all the adults in the household (with current address). Income Verification: Copy of your 2021 submitted income taxes or IRS 4506-T form (or call 1-800-908-9946). Address Verification (select one): Utility bill (gas or electric), Section 8 verification , or copy of SMMUSD student permit (if you are not a Santa Monica resident).

Is there childcare for K-3rd grade?

The SMMUSD Child Development Center offers several programs before and after school. Please check their website for detailed information at SMMUSD Child Care or call 310-399-5865.
